Territory Wildlife Park By Jason Moore

Today we went to the Territory Wildlife Park. It was Tina, Mel, Glen, Sam, James, Kirsten and
I.

There were a lot of really amazing and interesting animals like the offspreay it dives feet first into the water and does not get wet because of its oily feathers. That was at the Birds of prey.

We then went to the Crocwise Presentation where they taught us about Crocodiles salt and freshwater crocodiles we learnt how to be Croc Safe. We got to pat a fresh water crocodile but its mouth was closed thanks to a rubber band.

When that was over we had our lunch Tina, Kirsten and I had sandwiches but the rest had a brought lunch. As soon as we opened our lunch a bunch of birds flew over to us and started looking at us. When we had finished a Wallaby came over to us with a baby in her pouch. It has a reall liking for grapes, Alfoil and Sam’s lunch.

After that we went to Things and Stings where they taught us about different types of water animals that are poisonous they covered five different animals. The Box Jelly Fish, The Blue Ringed Octopus, The Stone Fish that can catch its prey in 0.5 seconds, I think it’s the cone fish it lives in a shell and will shot a dart at you, and I don’t remember the last one. They have a cure for the Box Jelly Fish The others is CPR for up to 24 hours until the lungs starts working again But if you get stung you do not put alcohol on it. After that we went home hope you enjoyed my first post.
