2010 in Darwin what happened to the sun?

It has started raining today and we are in Cyclone watch. There is little chance it will reach us but the rain will be here for a week. We have our cyclone kit and plan organised. Its is the first time the kids have seen rain like this and it looks like it will hang around for some time to come. We want to go to the wave pool but it is to stormy so we go to the Leanyer pool instead which has free waterslides. Its good fun but we have to leave as another storm is coming. Sunday brings more rain so we go to the museum instead. It’s a great museum and has a display about Cyclone Tracy.
Back to work and Tina is looking after the kids. A bit of shopping and some movie watching. Tuesday is more of the same and it looks like the rain will never end. Wednesday is my day off and the weather has only slightly improved so its off to do some shopping, caravan repairs and the afternoon at Brian’s downloading Lp’s to MP3 on his new turntable.
